Hi All,
I think (a) would be a better choice than (d) for the 2nd question.
I think the emphasis of these kindof questions in CAT is not that much on grammer but more on usage of the language in the everyday life. Ofcoure, the sentence has to be gramatcially correct.
Here though A and D are close, i felt D was a little too pronounced and thus choose A. My criteira is to choose among options is simple as follows:
First: Eliminate choices which are grammatically incorrect.
Second: Among the choices left, choose the one that i would normally use in my day to day usage.
Also i really feel that i would do better using intuition than to break and analyse each part of the sentence to select the most apt choice, considering the time constraint.
Do let me know ur thoughts on the same!
