@dkny.jakhar

Quote:
Left with Band D , i used the difference between that & which. that refers to something in particular that has been already referred to in the sentence...

so we were referring to a particular process pagination so the correct usage with it woud be that and not which...
Then where do we use which ?? what does pronoun mean? which refers some previous noun... and both which and that refer to the same thing that is noun

that refers to something in particular that has been already referred to in the sentence...

can u throw some light on something in particular by some other example??
I hope u undersatnd my question..

Thanks and regards

Re: VA Guide for CAT 2008 - 12-03-2008, 09:41 PM

PARA COMPLETION

Assorted automobile companies are tempting costomers with with finances at the rates of interest significantly lower than the cost of money in the market. It is not uncommon forr producers to flog thir wares with discount and freebies when the sales o slack. In the auto sector aggressive players are expanding capacity at a frenetic pace and if all the announced plans materialise, India's car utput will go up soon from 1.5 million at present to nearly 3 milllion. even if exports move up sharply from the present rate of 300,000 units a year, that would still leave the bulk of the industry's enhaced output to be absorbed by the domestic market. So ut makes sense for the companies to offer subsidised financing to boost sagging sales! But the interesting part is the impact, on the companies, of bearing the burden of interest subsidy. The more succssful compaies would innovate yet more ways to pare ther csts down further. ______________________________

A) Higher interest rates that drive down car sales via more expensive car loans wud ultimately spawn a series of business innovations that wud make the industry more comptitive.
B) It makes sense to realise that higher rates of interest help to channel investent away from sectors with low returns.
C) This is, of course, one exaple of how the market is supposed to work to deliver socially benign outcomes.
D) These innovations could be on the shop floor, in the choice of materials, sourcing of components, technological change or modes of financing.
E) All such new efforts would be missing in a regime that provides subsidisd credit.

ps : plz provide a detail explanation for yr choice of answers and/or how u arrived at it else it simply wot make sense to the purpose of the thread.
