According to you,the order is 1-3-2 for negative sentences but the answer follows 1-2-3.

Explanation: Well , it is a kind of gentleman thing to do & at the same time is also grammatically correct. Whenever taking a blame for something, the order should be Self (first person), You (second person) and then third person (Here, Mohit).

HI cute.sid,It was nice to see that we are quite active PGs over here...As far as the order of usage of personal pronouns is concerned, I admit i made a slight error- the most accepted usae is 1-2-3, but but 1-3-2 is also an acceptable usage, like you said it is gentlemanly thing to take blame first then move on to other ppl.... Wasn't able to log on as there was a slight problem with our wi-fi in our hostel for a past couple of days. Anyways, I don't think I have come across 1-3-2 for -ive but have seen 1-2-3 in a couple of grammar books and also from my teacher.
As for +ive sentence such as a reward,praise etc the order becomes 2-3-1 e.g., You, Mary and me.......

However, I am not aware of any rule regarding neutral sentences. In fact, I have come across many phrases such as You, me & Mike........(2-1-3),etc. but never really checked if they were gramatically correct.

If there is a rule regarding neutral sentences, I request someone to clarify the same using a suitable example.

2.when i opened the hood and saw smoke pouring from the engine,I had realized that i forgot to add oil.

3) She is not and does not intend to run for political office.

4) The car runs queiter when i add a more heavy transmission fluid
