Seriously, you don't have to do anything really out-of-this-world during CAT prep to "build a BETTER CV". You don't actually build a CV, if you want it to be real good. THe CV gets built up.
What u do is live your life. And follow things that you like with passion. You dont have to go mountain climbing and bungee jumping with photographs to prove it during the interviews. Live a regular life. Read the papers if you like to. Watch TV. Look around. Talk to people. Have fun. Take CAT as a regular exam, and by that i mean, take it seriously, but dont make it the whole-and-soul of your existence for the next few months.
I didn't do any extraordinary things even though there was a gap in my CV-so to speak. I like playing comp games and I told the interview panelists so. I play the keyboard and i like chess though i have no certificates to prove it. I like taking walks, and laze around while doing so... Tell them what you do and you like. Expect a few verification questions, as I got, but more or less if you've done few things in life with passion (eg. playing the Hitman series to get All Silent Assasin Rankings) it's enough.
Hope this helps.
...Hanoz I thought that I thought, therefore I was, but then I thought that had I not thought, would I be not? Then I realized, I think BECAUSE I am.

Hi Euphoria...
Someone suggested NASEOH....i think u shud only take up a community service if u know that u really feel like doing so...not for brownie points in the CV.If u get thru into a b-skool u`ll have to leave it....fine...but till that time the intentions shud be to give back to the society not building upon your CV.

Dude!!
I think u sure have hit the bullseye on this thread!! The CV gets build man..u r right..be oneself....love what u always like..pretentions dont lead u anywhere in life..might bring momentary success, but not life time. Ya but what one can rightly do atleast is be aware of the happenings around you. A future manager needs to be sensitive to his surroundings and needs to be well updated with developments
Cheers!!

I agree that CV gest built, but, its you who build up substantially on your intersts or hobbies to prove you passion for it.
for example, I follow stock mkt. but never knew that your knowledge can get recognition if you take up exam conducted by NSE. Now, m looking forward to it. So, wat I meant was THIS.
neways, the thread is rocking, thnx to you all guys!
PS: Does anyone know how to contact for NSE exam and wen is it being conducted? Also, are we eligible for the next module after Basic module? Lead, Follow or Get out of my way! | | | | | | | |
