Could you be a little specific? What do you wanna learn?

One site I would suggest is http://www.sitepoint.com . You'll find tons of useful resources for web designing and development.

I would be glad to answer any specific questions about web designing, if you have any.

Cheers!

Hi people... this seems to be of my area of interest....
Well i have been into web designing a bit and i can tell you that HTML isprobably the easiest of all languages youmight come accross.
If you have some basic knowledge about Html, go to www.angelfire.com it has some real good tags and scripts in html and java script. In case you dont have... juts get a very rudimentary html book 2-3 hours is what it would take and you are there! Do keep checking good pages for their source codes... gives you an idea about how a disciplined page designing is done!
All the best!

There are 5 kinds of people in this world:
  1. Who make things happen,
  2. Who think they make things happen,
  3. Who watch things happen,
  4. Who wonder what happened,
  5. Who dont know if anything happened!

I have been into web building for over 6 years now. Dreamweaver is sure a pro tool. But guess what - I am back to hands-on coding. No Software. I just use a simple editor like PHPEdit.. I write each liine of html code that my pages required. And it's indeed the much faster way and professional way to handle the task. Besides, if you cannot afford the tool, don't use it - there are enough alternates around.

thanx for u r suggestion mate.
what i do is design the basic structure of the page in DW.then i look at the source and play with it.It will be really enjoying to change different attributes and see how the changes effect the page....
Neways thinking of coming back to a text editor soon.....
