does art contribute more for a manager than technical knowledge? - 26-04-2004, 12:41 AM

hai there,
I am a techy and i think that art is more useful to a manager compared to the other. Art practise provides exercise to the right brain and therefore he becomes more intuitive and imaginative therefore he will be able to cook up more novel ideas.
An average logical skill will do. So I think that the IQ test and quantitative tests should be done away with instead only EQ test and an aptitude test are necessary for a management job.

Just studying arts doesnt provide you with intuition and imagination though ..
besides, management also has to with applying your logical, rational analytical abilities rather than just intuition or imagination.
if u had said management is an art rather than a science i think it was more agreeable to me.
