Then, it had a quotation from "Leviathan" by Thomas Hobbes

However, so that it remained appealing to an increasingly international audience this was finally changed to an adaptation of the winning entry of an international competition

interestingly, the final and current version has an error with an india connection

Nuff said, now question is what are we talking about ???
Without googling...

Its the Wikipedia logo.

The line about the India connection killed it.

O Morgoth,

Could thee please shed light on what the India connection is all about? Most curious.

To absent friends, lost loves, old gods and the season of mists; may each and every one of us always give the devil his due.

Madness anyone?

Done anything about it lately?

Why I certainly shall, my dear clearly-seeing serpent....

Wikipedia's logo has the first syllable of Wikipedia in different scripts... 'Wi' is entered in different languages, like Hebrew, Devanagari, Arabic, etc.

However, there is a mistake in the Devanagari text.

The correct wording of the syllable must be वि (Wi) or वी (Wee), but it has been rendered as र्वा (r.Va) in the logo. So if you check it out, there is a mistake in the logo.

That was the connection that killed it. I'd been asked the same question in a previous quiz. Had incorrectly guessed it as Victoria's name tattooed on David.

Regards,
Grondmaster
