The pinging doesnt work... I tried it... It simply times out... What to do?

take down the firewall. i assume the 6 PC's you are referring to belong to people you know. disable firewall, ping & then check. if it works, then create an exception rule and the rest should work fine.
otherwise, if you are not that comfy with tech, download IP messenger
and install it on every workgroup PC. file sharing should be easy then

i guess 'firewall' might be one problem... and would try IP messenger...
Would get back, if it doesn't work...

I want to know how can i save live stream media into my computer? When i listen to songs online.. there is only an option for playing, but since the data stream is travelling in the system, there should be a method to save it to a file (and thereby create an audio file of the same)
The same for when listening to news through BBC...
Kindly suggest a good software for the above.

Dunno abt any such website but you can use LIMEWIRE ( www.download.com) to download any song/movie/e-books etc etc. that you may want... :neutral:
