about excel files opening in linux, there are spread sheet and offfice suites in *linx that can open som M$ products, but you wonot get all the functioanlity.

that version of windows 2000 release is not the original from the microsoft, didnt you hear that windows 2000's source was hacked. those idiots develop them and add spyware and adware for money and sell that windows at a low price nearly 100Rs. so they get the credit and the merit.
they even havent put thier names and have deleted the vc++ logs
well just del that win 2000 version by backing up all files on the cd(setup files and docs) donot even copy a single registry entry. just format your harddrive by using cluster method, not the fast format(some adware will be in the HDD even after deleting) then just kickup and install a win xp version or even win 98( i recommend this if u have <1 GHz pc)
