the above is a setting of the windows, by which the programs running in the background run slower as compared to the program running in the front. You can change these settings though (not recommended)
Try copying 2 files simultaneously and keep one in front and one in background and then keep the other one in front and this in background. You will understand what I'm saying. Quote:

keep up the good work buddy!
for ur querries:
for playing coded mp4 files, there are ample players, but the ones which runs pretty smooth, w/out consuming minimum of the ram are as following:
1. [vlc player]-because it gives u different audio channels, though vlc player will land you up in troubles.
(download it at) More downloads: VideoLAN - eMule - CoreAVC - BSplayer - Etc
2.[k-lite mega codec pack]-because this gives the installation of media player classic, which is pretty useful.
(download it at) Download the K-Lite Codec Pack
** i suggest media player classic**
hope this is helpful | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to d2_spirit For This Useful Post:

If the above also doesn't help, then when ur PC becomes slow, open task manager and go to the "Processes" tab. You will have 4 columns - 'Image name', 'user name', 'CPU usuage', 'mem usuage'
Click on CPU usuage. This will sort the list in the descending order of the processes utilizing the max CPU usuage.
Let me know the first 4-5 processes (including their associated program) with their count of CPU usuage. | Hi Gaurav..
The first process is a system idle process varying from 96-86.
the next is task manager's process with no varying between 0-2.
and is there any better spyware check software than ad aware SE?
please let me know if any..
thanks a lot for the help.

thanks a lot for the help. | system idle is ok, because that shows the idle cpu usuage. u would have to find out which process takes max. cpu usuage when the processes actually begin to run very slow.
u could use avg anti spyware to chk for spywares. If nothing else works and the system is still too slow, then its better u format and reinstall ur windows.

Guys can u tell me which one can be a good browser for sp1
There are 2 thing which i like about firefox... its crash recovery session manager plugin and tabbed browsing. So if some other browser can offer the same thing, i would be happy to switch (provided it can run on sp1 and doesnt consume much memory)

gaurav bhai...try opera.... you would seriosly love it..
well there might be many to oppose it..as Firefox and Opera have always been enemies..
Well i have used IE,Opera and FF... IE has several loopholes... Opera is awesome for anything.
Caching of images is good thru FF also there are various extensions which can be used with FF. But IMO Opera is still better

Computer Gurus I NEED HELP....
Somehow this forum pagalguy.com doesnt open on my system irrespective of the browser i use.I have checked for blocks on it but coudnt find any.I now use proxy servers to log on to PG. The problem with proxy is that they dont support AJAX.And shoutbox uses it.
I have tried pinging the domain name.It doesnt return appropriate values.(dont know much about this as i followed instructions from some technical forum)However pinging the IP address returns the right set of values.
So if i try browsing pagalguy.com by the domain name it doesnt work. However if i try through the ip address of pagalguy the title turns up but not the rest of the page(i mean the words "PaGaLGuY.com - The Everything of MBA, CAT 2007, GMAT, XAT, SNAP, IIM")
All you computer science geniuses out there please help me at the earliest..
I want to use shout box BBLT 2007 Orkut | QQAD | Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes; Art is knowing which ones to keep!

@pavan :- All i can say is have patience, it will get back to normal. The same thing happened to me a month back.
I pmmed Nikhil,Mahip, Apurv still they couldnt figure out the problem. My IP wasnt blocked nothing.
Well when i use to ping. It was Request Timed Out so i was pretty sure that there was no chance of the page getting opened. In ur case ur atleast getting values though might be slow. Still confirm with Apurv else wait for some days. After some days i randomly tried loggin in and fortunately i did
Else if u have a good connection unlike mine, use proxies for some time, No harm in it -= Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself =- Orkut Profile

Right clicking on the page irrespective of whether it is pagalguy or google or some xyz site gives an option "Shout box"
