If that is your perception of people who groan at the posts, same perception about you is held when you groan on them.

Locking threads and spamming. I think never in my conversations with any of the so-called elite PG-ites have i been never been able to get a consensus. I don't want to sound boastful when I say this but I think I would probably be one of the best (or say top 10) people who would know the "culture" of this forum.

The problem lies when there are no set parameters used to evaluate the validity of a thread. Any thread can become a spammer's paradise so its wrong to use that train of logic to judge the validity of a thread. I think sooner or later someone needs to come up with a very clear list of what should be the rule to (a) Open a thread and (b) What constitutes as a spam

I might have spammed (along with Rani, Estranged, Anurag etc) in the "What is the coolest Avataar" thread. But I am sure if someone were to start "What is the coolest signature" thread it might get locked. So having these clear, objective rules in place would go a long way in helping heartburn.
