The Indian Government has blocked blogs. I hope this is just some miscommunication and blogs are up and running soon. Nuts!

i checked blogspot this sunday...it didn't open..but i never would have guessed something like that...

now we have our freedom of speech restricted too...what the hell they want??first reservation issue and now this...

Yet another ringing endorsement of the fact that Pro is to Con just like Progress is to Congress.

Just what they aim to achieve is beyond me. This is clearly an embargo on these sites...probably someone pointed out to the Government that for the most part, bloggers believe that Sonia is a Twat and the Congress is a retarded party that's causing the rapid degeneration of this country.

Dr Gulshan Rai, director of CERT-IN said to HT
"There's no attempt to block www.blogspot.com from our side. The order issued by the DoT has four blogs hosted on Blogspot.com. The order didn't ask the whole site to be banned."
apperently he a day back on rediff said that "somebody must have blocked some sites" and he didn't tell anythng more.

well its the same old problem with Indian Govt. they just don't know what they are doing and if at all they zero on something, they just don't know how to do it.
same thing happened few years back when they came to know that some Yahoo group allegedly run by Naga insurgents and in the process ended up blocking all the yahoo groups. Same furore happened at that time. and guess what they never learned from that.

and this is what these a**h***s end up saying
"We would like those people to come forward who access these (the 12) radical websites and please explain to us what are they missing from their lives in the absence of these sites."

though the govt. is not revealing the list of sites to be blocked, the number as said is 17 or 18(was 12 a day back).

what if the govt in an knee jerk reaction decides that Internet itslef is the biggest threat to nations security ......so can the govt block the Internet Connectivity based upon apprehnsions, unconfirmed reports...

What if the govt sees the tele media as a threat ... will they also band the foreign channels ???? Where would this ill thought crises management end.....

What the real problem is lack of Intelligence & 'cos of that we are seeing all this cock & bull stories of blogs spreading CRAP....
So hit at the root of the problem .... i.e dismantlling the terrorist infrastuctre within India, but for the you need intelligence function to be hyperactive, which is unfortunately not the case.
