Should I Write CAT? - 29-07-2004, 02:34 PM

I'm a fresh pass-out with a decent job. I am satisfied with the work I'm doing and the pay is also ok. I find the company I work in too good to leave - for such a good work-env is hardly available else where in India so far as my knowlege goes. I'm one confused soul now. "MBA" is past-tense, present-tense or future-tense of every soul I know @ this point of time. I need reasons to do an MBA 'coz it appears that I need to join the band-wagon or I need strong reasons not to do it.

PS:
PG, Shameek, Subbu, Amit, Gautam, Anil - dont reply plzzzzzzzz

just a query here .. Do you feel the same about learning flying a jet fighter too ?

btw, you can find ample reasons supporting both ends of the argument.

P.S. : Shameek, Anil, PG .. plz post on the thread

deepti zee, enzoy ur job! U r working for the one of the best cos, dont even think abt CAT right now.

For you also MBA might be future tense. Trust me, once u mature in ur org/job, u will urself see the need/noneed for an MBA. You will know what exactly you want and dont want from it.

So dont quit just yet. Somebody else will take away the Ford Ikon otherwise?

Uday

Wait for another 2 years when there is an economic slowdown, and spend 2 years in a B-school

hey deepti....don't think abt da money....it's really nothin' in da large scheme o' thingz...we're talkin' abt a career change here....my suggestion is 2 buy da form...n in case u decide later not 2 go for it....it's only 1 grand dat u lose...but if u don't buy da form now...n decide 2 go for it in sept...u'll regret it

I've got better things to do than argue with every wrong-headed crackpot with an ignorant opinion! I say, either agree with me or take a hike! I'm right, period! END OF DISCUSSION!
