the analysis from TIME has been posted above...however I am not sure about the percentile thing...until last year obviously there was no way one could have known their percentiles in MCs and CRTs... but this time round we actually can... lets hope we do

I am not sure whether analysis will be given for each of these MCATs...And as these are not AIMCATs, we will not be getting any percentiles. These are just for our practice.Btw, PG is there where we can post our scores and get a comparative analysis and discuss questions too!

The analysis for this test was available coz this was the same test held in feb this year under the name AIMTEST. All of you can check it out in the results of AIMCATs link in student website of TIME ..You shall get access to both the analysis and the all india performance at that time..

MOCK CAT 1002 will be uploaded on 20th Aug, 2009...So looking forward to a lot many scores and discussion on this test soon!! A single delay will only cause a chain reaction guys!

Go, take the test now!

QA=10c 7w=33 dunno what happened here

DI=14c 0w=56

VA=27c 11w=97

OA=186

people are the results for the Aimtest 1001 the same?

Then its AIR 13 for me

.................................................. ..............................

analysed the paper today.surprising to see that 3 of my quant answers were marked far from what I intended them to be Dont know how this happened.Any of the takers had similar problems?

Nice score dude! Btw, my score is 179 and according to AIM TEST 1001, my AIR is 23! But, the test was very easy compared to the aimcats we are taking now....

re: T.I.M.E Mock CATs and CAT Replica Tests (MCATs and CRTs) Discussions - 19-08-2009, 10:29 PM

[QUOTE=shaifali66;1634177]The Quant section of was of an average level of difficulty and most students would have taken it as a warm up test for the upcoming AIMCAT series. When compared to the quant section of CAT2008, which was more difficult than average, the AIMTEST was a decent beginning. One point that needs to be mentioned even at this early stage of preparation is that every mock test should be considered as a tool for both evaluation and improvement/learning. In fact, the learning aspect of each test cannot be over emphasized and this is a more important aspect than mere evaluation. Many students would have found this section very difficult to navigate since the easy or doable questions were distributed rather sparsely among the seemingly difficult/unfamiliar questions. The key to a great performance in a section, especially in the quant section, is to go through the entire section at least two times, within the time allotted, i.e., about 45 min. In the first round only the familiar/easy questions should be attempted and any lengthy/unfamiliar/difficult questions should be marked as such. The first round should be completed with about 15 min to spare. In the second round, one could look at the lengthy/unfamiliar questions but still leaving out the ones clearly marked as difficult/undoable. Some of the doable questions in the quant section of the AIMTEST were Q. Nos. 1, 4, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 23.

On the whole, an average student in quantitative ability could have managed a score of 18+ marks in this section. Any score from 25 to 40 would be good, 41 to 55 very good and 55+, excellent.

this analysis was already posted by arvind... please go through the previous posts before posting...
