dont worry guys it was a 150 question mock with each question of 4 marks.so 228 marks are out of 600

but no comments whether its a good score or not coz i've not given the mock.

I was under the misconception that i have done well but most of the people here have done better.

But i believe the Mc's and CRT's are obsolete as the pattern here is definately not expected in CAT 09. Number of questions, time limit, difficulty are gonna be different. How much should one rely on this scores to judge their performance??

Phodu accuracy.took it too casually and was marking almost every grammer question coming my way without thinking much.

but the timer is still set to 2hr30min

mc1011 is no way nearer to d standard of a CAT

Hi,

I have a doubt in Qn. 9 of MC1011.

The question is as follows :

Two cars P and Q start from two points A and B towards each other simultaneously. They meet for the first time 40 km from B. After meeting they exchange their speeds as well as directions and proceed to their respective starting points, they turn back with the same speeds and meet at a point 20 km from A. Find the distance between A and B.

The approach I followed was :

A------------------------------B
|---------x--------|----40km--|

The first time they meet :

time taken by P = Time Taken by Q.

Therefore, x/Vp= 40 /Vq.

The second time they meet,

Again, time taken by P = time taken by Q

Therefore, (x+20)/VQ = (40 + ( x-10))/VP

Thus, solving the above two eqns..
we get, x = 40.

Thus, answer is 80.

But, the option does not exist :(

the 2nd eqn shud be (x+20)/VQ = (80 + ( x-20))/VP

u get X=60 so the distance AB=100.is 100 the answer?
