Come chap... no one is ignoring you.. well you too can come over to Bangalore once before we meet up there... just kidding... well Dhiraj had paid a visit to the college ... says compus is damn neat and stuff... i am sure you must have read his post... well as far a sPGPMS course is concerned, i can throw some light on that... not very sure about PGPIB....
Well.. there are lots of PG's in and around the college is what i have heard.. so that should not be too much of the problem is what i am assuming

Anyways , actually i've heard that kj is gud but not much of concrete stats 'bout it.. Wanted to get an idea what all will it mean to be a part of somaiya ?
and of course what kind of launchpad it offers to our careers ?


Also eager to get hostel .
May i have an idea what the criteria will b to get one of those limited seats at the hostel ?

even i hv got thru somaiya . the thing is that i have already deposited non refindable fees at LBSIM delhi . now what should i do ? they told us that there are no girls hostel inside the campus . where r all the girls planning to stay ? could u ppl also post ur cat percentiles in the forum

me meher from pune.. for the pgpms course..
done my hotel mgmt from bombay and worked for 1&1/2 yrs in bombay ... sat at home for a yr hoping to crack the cat.
so now me at KJ.
nice to se a few new people on too... well u banglorians r really quite a batch...
kavita soooo sorry i did't reply earlier but since that day my comp at home's gone kaput.. me planning on stayiong at my grannies place which is at grant road... quite far .... so will chk it out for some time... might just join u guys there if i cant manage the distance..
me going to the coll tomorrow to pay up finally. aslo chk out the coll and all one last time...make sure i wont regret my decission later.
well how come none of u guys seem to b thinking bout the working womens hostel that was said to b just 2 km from the coll... i might go chk it out tomorrow..
anyone wants any specific details let me know.. i'll long on tomorrow to chk out.

Hi Meher,
At last some1 from Pune!! . Ive lived quite some time there. So im kinda a puneite u can say.. .anyways , when u go to pay the fees , cud u get info @ no of students taken admn..ill get an idea if i stand a chance at WL of 81. and also @ the quality of teaching and @ the profs at kj. this is 1 issue that im getting not good f/b ..i dont want to regret taking kj incase i get thru.

Well friends I am delighted to know about my batchmates, even though I havn't met them but it feels like I have known them from centuries... being emotional...

To keep you updated about myself, I have been roaming around for past one year living in Delhi, moving back and forth from Jabalpur and Delhi, going for GD/PI to Pune, Manipal, etc... Now I am going for a vacation (as I call it) to visit some beautiful places in north such as Dalhousee, Kullu-Manali, Shimla... on a 10 day trip with my friends. Definately I will show you all my pics when we will form K.J.Somaiya - CLASS of 2004

Hope to have such fun moments with all of you also.... till then....

Well I will be comming to mum-BHAI on 17th to confirm my WL-12 (hope so... or else...) Meet you all (whoever will be comming) there

Just post your expericence of KJ and what u think abt the institute. Please do so as soon as u come back from there.

If u can find out then please check out the figures from highest placements of freshers and also that they have a common placement for all there courses including MMS (university course) or not.

hey guys
i have some info regarding the accomodations. i enquired with my engineering class mates who are living outside the campus and there are quite a few. most of them are located within a radius of fifteen minute journeys around the campus .. the exact rent and the other details i will get soon. but yes accomodations are available.
with regards to the working women's hostel, i recollect there is one which is on the road to chembur naka, at least i have read the board from outside. yes it is near to the college .. with a bus journey taking about ten minutes to reach the college.

Well Meher, thanks for messaging me and asking me if i need anything... that was very sweet of you...
I feel any PG that is a stone throw away from college would do good.. because sometimes, when the visitng faculty take our class, chances that the classes would get over late in the night sometimes... 10ish.. so it shouldn't be that we need to catch another bus or train to get home.. because after which we will have assignments to compelte and submit the very next day.. that is what some people in MMS have told me!!! so all of us can stay close to the college so taht joint project work and assignments also can be done without much difficulty!!! This is my opinion!! what do you guys say????
