I just wanted to mention the fact that even in PGPM u can have dat int'l exposure and that MDI has arrangements and infra for that too.
had no intentions of being misleading, and I understand der r major differences between the 2 programs, but the point of having int'l exposure atleast in terms of having attended classes in a foreign country and getting to know der students and professors and the way of there teaching, thinking, business philosophies etc.. by itself is no small thing..
although yeah when dat is accompanied with foreign interships and maybe even foreign placements which are integral parts of the PGPIM course, the course becomes so much more special..
and well I am really truly looking forward to corrections bcz ur the guys really out there and know the thing perfectly.. the guys know in MDI (dey r my batchmates from manit)
are mostly in PGPM so dey might have limited info on IM but wot i said was just about PGPM and i think i wasnt comparing the two just mentioning that der is a provision for foreign exchanges in PGPM also..

Hi Seniors....
My intention of joining PGPIM(Assuming the waitlist clears till the 30s) is to basically have international exposure....Have a foreign internship under my belt....and at the same time have a different experience all together [ living in a foreign country for an extended time, managing expenses, intermingling with ppl from diff cultures etc ]

However after the course i plan to work and settle down in India. Seniors kindly advise if it is advisable for me to take up this course keeping the above point in mind.

I have a question regarding the salary structure. Is the average salary of Rs. 11.78 lacs for PGPIM including foreign placements? If possible could you please give me the placement figures for domestic placements for the PGPIM batch....

Seniors please respond as these queries are very important for me and would help a lot of other aspirants as well

Saw a waitlist document being uploaded in PGPHRM, so took the liberty of doing the same on this thread.

As of now 7 folks seem to have backed out. I have taken the liberty to take all PGPM Waitlisters <=250 and who preferred PGPM, into the list. All the folks who were confused, haven't been added to this list.

Kindly refrain from adding your name to this list, if you aren't too sure of leaving PGPIM for some other course/school.

Would request all of you to update this document as and when you post, or see someone else post their status.

With the IIM results, we may have more clarity.

I think u have posted on wrong thread.This thread is for PGP-IM batch and ur signature shows ur covert of PGPM.
