Hi, this is Satrajit, converted TAPMI, 4 years work-ex (6 months with ICICI and 3.5 years with Infosys). Looking fwd to a gr8 TAPMI experience with other joinees for the next 2 yrs.

Hi.

I received the letter today.

The first deposit of 256000 INR is supposed to be made in two installments. The first one would be of 50000 INR, which is to be deposited by 25th April 2008 and the remaining 206000 INR would have to be deposited before 25th May 2008.

The letter also mentions about the laptop configuration and other rules & regulations, apart from giving out details about reporting date & time (5th July, 2008 at 8:30 AM). The classes will start on 7th July, while 5th and 6th of July are reserved for induction.

The school will assist in the purchase of a laptop. However, an option to purchase on own is also given to the students.

hey guys got the letter today

first things first
classes commence from 7th july
but the first yr students must report to the admin block on 5th july
by 830am which means we hav to be in tapmi by 4th even(given in letter)..
reg the fees gotta pay 50k by 25th april by a dd
n another 206000 by 26th may
tapmi shall also propcure laptops under bulk purchase scheme
those intrestd must fill a form given n send it wid 2nd installment
(the brand n config is not given)
ur reqd to submit a medical report indicatin ur fitness..(no details given)
now reg the withdrawl from the prog
if u paid 50k ul get a refund of 40k
if u hav paid 256000(both the installments) then 236000 ll be refunded
all dis within 30 days..
n if u withdraw after 16th june only 13000 ll be refunded...
phew!!

isnt this a blatant violation of the AICTE rules.. TAPMI does come under AICTE doesn't it??
are they allowed to do this??

I though the maximum they could deduct was Rs. 1000 (if withdrawn before commencement of classes)

?!?!?!
