SP Jain GI (Group Interview) Experiences (2008)

posting my query for the third time.. seniors.. please help. it would really make a lot of things easier for me. would appreciate it.

once the results are out, i assume we will need to make an initial payment to confirm our admission and soon after that, the fee for the first year will have to be paid. can u please tell me if we need to go to S P Jain Mumbai in person to do that or it can be done through post or online? I am planning to go aborad next week for about a month so if luckily I do make it to the final list, will I be in any trouble for admission?

someone please clarify as soon as possible. thanks in advance.

hi, called up spjain. admissions office says mid-april. my senior at spj says somethign around 10th april. so i guess thats the general round-up.

most colleges accept DD , i do not think any place expects people to come down and pay up

Please make sure you go through the previous posts before getting anxious There's absolutely no reason for panic - we do not expect everyone to be present on campus for making the initial payments and formalities. There is an option for the local residents of Mumbai to come and make their payments in person - but again, its only an OPTION. You will be required to be on campus only when the course is starting which should be sometime towards the second half of June (going by last year's estimates).

Hi Guys,
I had ma evaluation on 29th august,930 slot.
I reached thr at around 9.00 and we were given one folder to put the copies of documents in it.
We were also given a case study to anayse in 20 min. everybody got the same case study.we were around 20 in the batch. Topic was what differentiates successful organisations from unsuccessfull organisations.write 5 main qualities or pratices they follow.TIMING 930 TO 950.
From 950 to 1010 we had to write two essays or i should say we had to answer 2 questions.questions were different for everbody. mine was describe ur career progression and y u wanna go for bussiness degree and second one was any non academic failure and wot did u learn from it. After completing that straightway we were taken to the GD room. We were 11 min in which 1 min to think n 10 min to discuss.
Topic given was J&K heaven or not?
After completing gd verification of our documents was done. I was the first one in ma batch so i was told to come for the interview.
I applied for logistics and supply chain. For everystream there was different panel. Mine panel : 1 male n 1 female.
asked me questions like tell us about urself, achievments, job profile to start with.
I hav work ex in oil n gas so asked me about world's largest refinery. capacity of jamnagar refinery, do u think cost decreases when production increases,y was ongc in news, do u kno mittal, y was he in news recently, ur bussiness idol, y nano is in news n some general questions.
i came out and one lady handed one form to me and said you are shortlisted for dean interview.
I after filing that small form went for the dean interview. 2 guys were waiting outside the dean's room. they were from 830 batch.
dean asked me about ma profile,what kind of books i read, ma goals, y this field and some gen questions.
ma process ended at around 1200.
it took me less time as i was the first one from ma batch.
overall i would say they are asking gen questions..so just chill...
