as we all know the problem is that if we add all the seats of the top schools we get around 3000-3500.thats around 2 % of the present ppl who rite cat!!!!!
so lets say that every year , 20000 (net) increase is there, now the chances are 1.7% for batch cat2005.and 1.5% for batch cat 2006.etc.( i shudder to think of the odds of getting into iimA in 2010.( close to .0009 if the seats remain the same) )
and we are all caught in the trap of " maybe i will do better next time" syndrome.we work to get work experience and later learn that around 10 points will be given out of 300 during selection.150 points still go for the exam in the same institute.
i hope there is light in the end of the tunnel for all of us.

i'm worst at what i do best

and for this gift i feel blessed

hi!! alll..
Here is my share of pain and agony..
Cat- 2003( 89% only good call was MDI HR - waiting list 30 and IMT) didnt convert either of them
Cat-2004( 92 % .... courtesy 48 % in DI ..NO IIms,only good calls i had were from FMS .... , FMS-MS and IIFT ...waiting list 99 at FMS ( i still fail to understand what is the point of having a WL till 99....what can i expect out of this....some kinda bollywood miracle....though my name has figured in IIFT first list but my surname, ROLL NO hasnt...i hardly have any chance in second round of calls ( gut feeling)...I am working in Nestle ..passed out from Thapar Engg college in 2003...what options do i have ..I please request all the PGS to opine on this post...i might scape thorough UBS or KJ SOM.. But i dont feel like going there...

I once again request the vetrans to help me get out of this dilemma...

well add me to the "repeaters" list . But i just made cat05 a bit more challenging by taking the risk of resigning. actually got 2 more days to go before i become "unemployed" so the stakes are high and i HAVE TO crack it.
for the record cat04- 98.1 , Xat 98.75 ( still smarting at not getting a call from Xl )hoping that it is for the better
