i am yet to submit my sp jain forms to the instiute and the last date is nearing (5th dec)
can u submit the forms personally or by courier or u gotta send it thru registered post...
also their website tells u to attach a photcopy of ur cat admit card along with the form . plz take care of this change....

Hi Shads.
You can send it by courier. I dunno if they accept it hand-delivered, but i am sure they accept it by courier. And i missed the announcement on the site. I had already sent off my form without the photostat of the CAT admit card by the time i sa this post

SPJAIN has the weirdest forms I've seen. The instructions are comprehensive, but mighty easy to miss and run opposite to normal conventions. I once filled the Academic Details in the normal conventional order with 10th, 12th and final year marks in that order. On checking the form carefully, I noticed that they had asked the academic performance in the reverse order. Glad I did all the stupid mistakes on a photocopy of the form.

As for the problem of not sending in a copy of the CAT admit card, I say if you are in Mumbai, give them a call and see if it is possible to land up personally to deliver the copy of the admit card.

Hi guys..
when i went through their website my understanding was that, those who had 6 digit CAT REGN No should enclose a photocopy of Admit card.
Otherwise the problems stands solved and those who had just 5 digit Regn no, should not very unnecessarily.
So forget abt that minor issue and concentrate on ur preperations.Hope my understanding is appropriate.

No man doesnt mean it has crossed 100.000 mark since the forms dont start from 000001
IMSINDIA sez its close to 80,000, but more conservative estimates place this figure close to 60,000 , but in hindsight these numbers hardly make difference , u jus have to be cut out for CAT:idea:

Dont wanna sound argumentative..but I dont see any reason why they shouldn't start with 000001..Also, if the S.P.Jain form provides just 5 boxes to fill in the CAT registration no., it probably shows that last year's reg nos. had just 5 digits ( I dont remember my CAT 2000 Reg. no though )..That's probably why they are asking ppl to send a photocopy of the Admit card, if the reg no. is six digits long..Anyway, as u say, it all doesn't matter in the end..as not more than 10,000 ppl are really serious..But these things keep the excitement levels up..We MBAs (speaking too early?) are supposed to do a lot of number crunching, u see

Y i said they dont start with 000001 is because i satiated this query by checking for such regn numbers when results came last year
I think they started with 20000 last year, dunno what happened this year
