Hi !
I'm crazy about CAT in the sense about IIMs.
But I have some querries in my mind which needs to be answered before I start my whole hearted preparaion for CAT.
I have got 84.7% in ICSE ,83.6% in ISC ,but have gap of one year before doing my B.TECH from a pvt. engg. college.In my college my CGPA is 8.83.
My extra curriculars are not so strong .
I have also got 14 mths of work exp in INFOSYS.
With regard to my achievements I have among the top 4%ile students in NATIONAL IT APTITUDE TEST ,and thus received a merit scholarship .

My question is whether getting very high %ile in CAT written test and performing well in the subsequent GD & PI levels I have got a fare chance of making it into the top 3 IIMs or not .

cat diye bina how can u decd whether u'l get in iims ya nahi? pehle cat do get gd pi calls try 2 convert em n fir dec karna kaunse iim jaoge!

My humble suggestion would be to first appear in CAT and score more than 99 percentile (this may increase as year passes). Then only you will get call for top three IIMs (or any other top 10 institutes). Your work ex and extra circular activities will count only after that. So start burning mid night oil. best of luck.
