yaa By other insitutes i was hinting on SPJIMR 1 year course .... MDI is ok but, I if you are really looking to add value to urself , u can take any of the top 10 to 15 .... but if are looking from cost benefit point of view then MDI is ok ..... what i feel from ur writings is that u want to do an MBA .. so i suggest go for the top 10 institutes .....

hi there
yaa probably u can just jot down that u have been placed in X co and will be joinin on so n so date ... and about the thing u said that som kind of form they giv to fill at time of GD/PI , weel i am not sure that is the case ...any way if are selected for any GD/PI u will get seperate forms from respective institutes where they will ask for work ex and will mention the time frame till a specific date normally till DEC ....
hop this clarifies ur doubts
best of luc

You are right Ranjith..Iam keen in doing an MBA, but most of my peers as well as faculty in Time suggest me to not to think anything beyond IIMs/ISB...The logic what they are telling is assume today you earn a salary of 6 /7 L, you get into a B school..After 2 years your campus job may fetch you a salary of 10 L (Non IIMs)...for which you have to spend another 6 Lakhs in the B school. Instead you shift your job in 2 years you may earn more than this..My question is what they are telling makes some sense..But in long run will it make some difference (Non IIMs MBA)..If its for sure that opportunities will be definitely more in long run, I can risk this..Else if its gonna take its own pace, I would prefer to stick to IIM option......This ambivalence is eating me..Iam keen to do an MBA & bothered that it should yield fruition & shouldn't land up in the same place again after doing an MBA..I need to be extra cautios as I will be missing 2 wonderful years of my family life, If selected .......

Since you've already taken CAT once, you should be in a better position to decide whether you require a coaching institute or not. Two of the main reasons why people join coaching classes are to prepare in a structured way and to keep the tempo going high. My take: if you are fairly clear with your fundaes and are a working professional, you can skip classes. The time is better spent practising. On the other hand if you feel joining a coaching instt might help you please do so.
But in any case make sure you join atleast 1 all india mock series to keep track of your progress.
Forget about DI books, none available in the market will be able to feed you with the CAT type problems. It makes sense to go through last 2-3 years papers and current years mocks for DI.
Remember one thing in DI, get familiar with as many caselets as possible ..it helps.. make it a point to practise those heavy/logic intensive caselets which junta generally skip during the test. The real CAT might test you on those concepts.

guyz help me out with this..
1. i have joined time series nd me planning for some other test series also...which ones should i join...i m contemplating for CL(aka career launcher pegasus)...coz i hv posted here in mumbai thread but no-one is willing to give me xeroxed material...
2. i hv read a lot about other ppl..experimenting with the test series..heres my result..i normally start with eng-qa-di but last time mock i did qa-di-eng...my score with the former style was 33+ but the new experiment resulted in a disastrous 17....so i realized that in xam i shd get cosy with some marks(va) that boosts my confidence nd do the toughest section last(qa/di)...
throw lite on these 2 points....

1. Towards the last 2 months, u'll have mocks almost every week. So u would find it difficult to shuffle between test series. I had the same dilemma when i prepared... i conciously stuck to on the time series, thought i worked out other test papers at home. (personally i don't think which test series u take matters... the only thing that matters is if u r improving in which ever series u take)
2. U have all the freedom to experiment till 8 final mocks... by which u should have found which strategy works out. In my case... i had to change my strategy from qa-di-eng to eng-qa-di... reason?.. starting off with eng made me adjust into the exam mode.. qa was done in the peak of my concentration..and i was always pretty good at di.. so even if i slacked a bit, i knew i could handle DI..
if u start of with a weak section, there is a tendency that u might get demoralized if things rn't going as planned... strategies vary from person to person.... if u find a strategy working out well for u, try fine tuning on it by adjusting time allocation.
And then i remembered ... i had amnesia.
