Clarification.... with respect to poll -
20-11-2005, 01:43 PM
=====================================
Hi
Well .. seems this year's cat shifted more towards accuracy .. with only 90 attempts in the offering .. i remember last year i had around 90 attempts...
So people with high accuracy wud be benefitted .. and cracking the 2 marks que wud be the key to crack this CAT..
Wish u all the best ..
VIKAS..

SPOT ON VIKAS.... The whole pattern seems to favour accuracy... but on the whole Quant was calculation heavy and DI was logic intensive with no counting based sets or visually solvable sets (Atleast i could not find any)... So the paper on the whole was tougher than last few years papers that i have seen... So i feel that the cut off can be a bit lower than last year say around 50-55... with atleast 14-16 in QA and DI and 24+ in English... Also the paper had just 3 RC pass.

I am 100% sure abt it .. because i had checked around 100 scorecards..
and a well known coaching institute too .. had same views..
Info - Last year -ive was -1/6 , -1/3 , -2/3 for all three types of que.. respectively
We had tallied the final scores as well... and the reverse matching from %score to actual score was perfect
This -ive is on basis of not just last year but previous years too..
