Hey..

My call for GD and PI last year was on April 1...
They had sent an email saying which mentioned the GD and PI dates...
From March 29 - April 2...

They had sent this email somewhere in January...
Soon after the CAT results had been declared...

So it should be around the same time this year too...

And the results are out in a week...

The college starts by June end...

Hope that helps..

telling about IMDR in short, its amoung the oldest bschools in india.Estab in 1974,it is regarded as a good institue to complete ur management studies. One amoung the unique things about IMDR is its economical fee structure (total 56,000) and the amizing part is that you will get a decent enough placement that fetch you around 3k an annum(higest package offered was 4.7 and lowest was 2.3(FCB Ulka (ad agency dont pay much, and the most of the salary ranged around 3-3.5). Also IMDR is known its culture which allows student to be himself and to be independent. there is lot more to tell and i will adress it in coming days

For any queries about the college or admission process feel free to ask to me. i will try my level best to answer it.
he mates.good thread-useful to pple like looking to kep last minute options.(got 86% last yr)this yr aiming for 90 bt u nvr know n probs with meeting sectional cutoffs too.

so abt imdr.well i hve noticed pple rate it higher thn colleges like bimtech/iilm/nilm/itm/xime etc.

bt wht i cant understand i tht if its bettr thn how come iilm website shows avrage placements of 4.2L.evn bimtech is around 3.5L...these r ctc ofcourse(n maybe manipulated a bit) bt must be the same with imdr too(as most institutes).....isnt it?
so placements at IMDR dont match up to its reputation.plez clarify.3L is okie/just okie-bt i guess a bit low for me having 3+ yrs work ex(evn if u say i could get higher coz of work ex-coz thts applicable evrywhere).plez chip in IMDR guys

i am saying that they dont look for cutoffs because i got a score of 35% in maths. and i am in IMDR. so you can belive me that they will not look for cut offs.

choc_guy21

IMDR does not need students who just take MBA to get placement.so the institue does not encourage placements and it is made clear in the brochure itself.IMDR is for those who wish to do a decent post graduation in Management.
But due to the quality of education and due to the reputation compaines do visit campus and we have a decent 100% placements till now.
if you are just intrested in placement i dont think my college is a good option.

Hey ..... according to the information handbook that I downloaded from IMDR"s website ..... it doesn't offer any recognised degree or diploma .... so what if I want to go for Fellow after PG ????

Do students who want to go for PhD should not join IMDR ????

But still I would like to say that if an institute is having such a sound reputation and decent placement and that's to without offering any recognised diploma then it must have something "special" ..... wonder has it been offering a recognised course it would have surely found itself in the top 10-15 !!!!

World doesn't need successful MBAs but it needs successful Managers !!!

hii nibupraju

well i really cant relate to what u said.
imdr doesnt encourage placements? IMDR does not need students who just take MBA to get placement???if you are just intrested in placement i dont think my college is a good option????

first of all mate i think u misunderstood me.ofcourse placements isnt the only thing im looking for.that would be foolish.its a n overall experience along with a return on investment which im looking for.
placements are not only financially important-bt thy also are a good indicator of the institutes standing in the corporate world.
if imdr doesnt encourage placemnts-thats quiete odd.it should.agressively.
placements is not the end of the world.its a part of what i look into when i think abt applying to an institute.yes its imp for me as im looking to not only learning bt also earning aft leaving my job for 2 yrs of study.bt like i said its not the only goal.i alrdy am working with a gr8 company to work with and its paying me enough.bt im looking forward to an mba to lay a stronger foundation to my career ahead.and that foundation includes an appropriate placement!!
got it buddy?so dont make such bold and stupid statements like imdr doesnt encourage placement and doesnt need guys like me.IT REALLY DOES.
call it arrogance.i call is practicality.take care and take a chill pill.
