I dont think one can expect a 100 percent placement but if you are sincere then I dont think it should be a problem. Also, I would appreciate if someone can shed some light on the approx fees required and how easy or hard it is to avail scholarships?

query regarding GMAT - 03-10-2005, 12:30 PM

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the time required to get a good score in GMAT.I am giving my CAT this nov and I have a fair preparation.
With that preparation as the base wil it be ok (I mean not suicidal ) to book a date for Jan 06 for GMAT.
I assume and estimate the wholle of DEC to be sufficient for GMAT preparations .
Please advice me if I am wrong .

Regards,
iima

Hey ADDICTED GURU!

U know I thought about it & I think I'll settle for a GRE.
I mean Im doing engineering so why take a risk with GMAT...GRE does let one keep their options open...but I dont think even in US u can change ur stream from technology (MS) to mgmt(MBA)..
But I'll probably take GRE in Dec end or Jan
..

Aditi

P.S. Can any1 tell me how are the foll countries 4 MBA........(recommend colleges if U can)
>Australia
>NewZealand
>Canada
>Singapore

placement and scholarship - 03-10-2005, 07:22 PM

hi prateek and aditi.......as far as placement is concerned after MS , well it is 100%, may be not directly from campus but u'll easily get a job ........ but it is not big bucks for everybody...i mean it is not that everybody is going to get a 6 digit(in $$$) package...
Scholarships r easier to find if u get in good college ( read in top 30 or so)
but otherwise u have to arrange for initial money(4-10 lakh).......but u can get a lab assistant like job there and can bear ur other expenses on ur own
total budget for an MS vary from 10 to 25 lakh depending on ur college.

All the public colleges in the US r cheap as compared to the private ones... It also depends on which field u wanna pursue ur MS n what GRE score u hv.
