hey peeyush

low acads doesnt mean tht u dont hav the aptitude for cracking mba entrances. thr can be many reasons behind this (like u might not hav given ur best during schooling & graduation ). u can work on ur quant & verbal skills. work hard.. and, no one can stop ya from getting into prestigous bschools..... i hope u wud take this message positively & move forward in ur preparations.

i think its 2 immaturish 2 relate acads with MBA .Entrances r a complete new ball game where ur testedon various grounds .Definately acads come in contention once u clear the initial hurdle as do many other things ..like ur ECAs which u say r good.Like mentioned earlier many of the ppl who make it 2 the best b skools are not plain scholars. So u need nt worry just prepare in full mode and try and build on things which can downsize ur acads as everyone does....putting ur best foot forward.
bst o luck

Two things

1. u screwd ur acads, no probs, just need to fulfill min criteria, thats 50% i guess, if there is any. Just make sure u can crack entrance, whatever u do there matters, nothing else (to get till intv). Rest u have been very much in diff activities, so i guess u can handle GDs and intvws

2. Rename the thread buddy by editing ur first post. Else thread is too misnomer to be not closed

Boss,

Without worrying continue to study for CAT and other exams without the excess baggage in your head.

I worried like that myself and screwed my MBA prep, wherin I could not convert some calls which i got, as my mental orientation was in a defensive and negative mode.

You put your 100% heart & soul into the preparation without worrying about anything (very easy to say difficult to follow, try making the effort). Improve on your test scores and work on your areas of weakness on a continuous basis. You would see that as you are improving your preparation all these worries will take a back seat, and you will develop more confidence in yourself.

ALSO REMEMBER THAT out of 1100+ Candidates in IIM's not all are IIT/CA Gold Medalists, Olympic level Sports champion, Nor Mensa members or Mozarts. So you still have your place. Go and grab it.

Regards

Uday

Dear friend,
With lot of humility I would like to bring to your notice a mix that has happened in my application form. My friend and I had purchased two-application form on 7-08-2008 by paying 1300/-each. My pay- in-slip number is 791111 and his pay-in-slip number is711201. Accordingly our CAT application numbers were given as 339809(mine) and 339810.
However while filling, due to an unfortunate mishap our forms were interchanged which lead me to fill his form. I would kindly request you to give me a right solution to my problem
