I have given my GMAT (660)and planning for an MBA in 2010. However since the course would be starting only mid next year, I am planning to prepare for CFA. I am from IT background, with some level of interest in Finance and hence i feel I am not a "novice" for Level 1.
HOwever i am scared to register for the exam and not able to give the same in June, in case I dont get time to study and also if Level 1 is way too above my confidence level. So I was thinking of registering for the exam by Feb deadline and in the meanwhile buy Xeroxes of the study material. BY Jan, i should have some fair amount of where I stand.
U will have to register for level 2 after u clear level one and similarly for level 3 wen u clear level 2..
as in ur case- if u register for level one in june`10 .. and u get thru that and if u wish to go for level 2 test den u will have to register for that(i.e June 2011) and so for level 3 after clearing level 2. means u will be enrolling for level 3 (in june 2012), if u clear level 2 in 2011. There is no such compulsion dat u should take d other level in the next consecutive year...You can take as long as you need to complete the program, and there is no limit to the number of times you can take each exam.
Yeah, there is some case pending over there.. exam center will there be india or not , that will be only decided after d hearings of d court.. U can choose kathmandu or any other nearest place as a center by then. Coz if the exam will be going to b held in india.. den u can change the exam center 75 days prior to the date of the exam.. else u will have to take the test at the place u chose..
Hope this helps
-regards
