Hi Ranjan, Since you are a fresher, it would be difficult to put on a paid internship right away. However, I can put you on probation wihtout pay for 2 months and then depending on out performance, put you on pay for the remaining 4 months. Job Profile:

The intern will be responsible for the development of some proprietary modules for an embedded sub-system. The following modules are up for development:

• Developing a small network communicating over an RF link
• Developing Command based control of Transducers such as Motors, Displays
• Generating sound by use of PWM's.

The intern should be able to design in a modular fashion and pick up knowledge of specific toolset quickly.

Job Description: Need a self-starter with excellent communication skills and an ability to work with little supervision but full ownership. Chosen person will be second-in-command in this growing educational enterprise with potential to rapidly grow along with the company within a very short period of time. This would, in turn, present the candidate with an excellent opportunity to learn about start-ups. Person would be working from home with freedom to set day-to-day goals as well as take smaller operational decisions. He/She would be bound only by firm and pre-defined metrics along all areas of responsibility.


Responsibilities:


Marketing:

• Responsible for the marketing of GMAT and other allied educational services through various media (such as putting up videos on youtube, ppt on slideshare, using twitter, Emails and SMS campaigns etc)
• Complete ownership of website design, development and maintenance. Achieve set target of minimum number of eyeballs per month. This would be tied to measure effectiveness of specific campaigns. Involvement would include SEO activity through programs such as Google AdWords.
• Responsible for creating marketing collateral – including design and development. This would include being the single owner for the Crackverbal monthly mailers – from collating content to managing distribution lists.
• The achievement of frequent, timely and positive media coverage for Crackverbal and its programs across all available media.
• Analyzing potential partner relationships for Crackverbal product lines.
• Use social media to enhance visibility, brand credentials such as linkedin, facebook, orkut, as well as other GMAT forums.
• Organize large-scale, well-publicized events to create required buzz as well as build brand equity in the market.

Sales:

• Prepares action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects. Would maintain the database of suspects, prospects and “hot leads” and track them to closure. Would involve maintaining a CRM system.
• Ensure a minimum number of enquiries per month. This could be driven by various campaigns such as promotions on the website itself, yellow pages entry, mailing company lists etc. Need to provide a database of pre-defined qualified leads per month with an aim to build a healthy pipe-line of students interested in GMAT for the 2010 academic session.
• Should be able to convert 25% of leads generated. This would be through phone calls, personal appointments, explaining the course details before involving proprietor for final “moment of truth” deals. Need to meet target of 50 students per month for the program.
• Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets. such as Mumbai. Might be required to travel occasionally.
• Maintains accurate records of all pricing, sales, and activity reports.

Job Specifications:

• Fresher with an MBA degree or graduate with 1-2 years of sales/marketing experience in the educational services industry.
• Extremely high sense of ownership and commitment in all activities undertaken.
• Strong understanding of student and entrance market dynamics and requirements. Added advantage if candidate has taken CAT, GMAT, GRE etc.
