Yeah regarding profiles of the students selected i can help you in that.
In HRLP , 20% of the batch is of the freshers whreas rest 80 % comprises of people having 1-7 yrs of exp.
People are coming from GE, TCS, Infosys, TVS, Jindal, Essar , Naukri.com , Cognizant etc.
Where as BLP has people coming from Mahindra, Applied Materials , IBM, Infosys, Hewitt, Wipro ,Deolitte etc having workex of more than 5 yrs..
Hope i have answered your question....
Moreover Best part of SOIL is that they give you the clear picture, they give their full time in answering your queries. They don't misguide you. Rest what i can say u is that if u still confused than wait for 1 yr and all your questions will be answered by time coz nobody can give you exact answers of your questions. Your questions are not like what is 2*2 ?.
But as per SOIL , there will be many companies addition to the consortium companies for the placement but it is not sure that they will take everyone it is upon the student that how he has performed the entire yr. how much he has transformed himself in this one yr ?..Placemnts all depends on ds not on campus...

Regards

Ashwani.

Zami here is waht I have to say for the questions you asked:

Can you tell please answer my following queries:
1)I had heard they are selecting students below 5yrs exp too.

Yes, candidates with exceptional performance in Caliper as well as Interview .
2)whats your profile?
BE Computer, SCM Manager at MindTree.

3)Placements will be done i guess due to networking but what about the package??i mean in last they give us 4lakhs,then what will be the fun?
There is no false promise on placements (something I liked about the institute), the platform is there to help you launch yourself , now it all depends how much thrust you captured in the 1 yr pgp.
Well, again salary will depend on lot of things as any other college, now for example you may have highest salary as 22 l & lowest as 6l & average of 8L BUT WERE YOU WILL FALL will depend on your performance during interview, the domain you want to go(if you are planning to change your expertise, then you may have to start as fresher, which will have further impact on your salary.)

4)outside companies will be coming for placements?
Yes

5)is this certificate affilated to any university,i guess no..then is it valid outside these 22 companies
Well, to understand better , you can take up example of ISB , it also provides certificate which is not affilated to any university or UGC or AICTE & same is with SOIL . But now ISB is world's 15th Best B-School . Take your call

6)in this market scenario, market is very bad and it will remain like this for another 1 year, then what about our placements?Mostly companies are not hirg much of MBA's this year..then what this SOIl people have thought on this issue?

Keep your fingers Crossed.

Another imp question, what they ask u in interview, hey do answer all my queries by today afternoon as i will be going for interview tomorrow...if possible.

Interview is conducted to gauge you on certain leadership parameters but bottom line is that the questions are guided to know you better like yourself as a social being, acheiver, leader, friend ...etc.

Hope this helps !!
