advise - 06-02-2009, 01:52 PM

Hi
Let me tell you about myself first. I did my M.Sc. (biochemistry) in 2002 and got married the same year. I then did a B.Ed. from 2003-2004 and taught in a school then ( but don’t have an experience certificate). Currently am undergoing training as a patent analyst under Deptt. Of Science & Technology scholarship scheme for women with scientific qualifications ( course of 1 year duration-3 months remaining).
Also, I have a 3 year old daughter.
My CAT percentile is 96.75, with approx. sectionals as..DI-51, VA-99.96, QA-7
I have applied to IMT, Ghaziabad and K J Somaiya, Mumbai
What I want to know is..
1) Any chance of being selected there?
2) Any idea about the institute called IIITM at Gwalior ( close to home, for daughter’s sake)
3) How good is a correspondence course from a good B-school?
4) Do companies bias against candidates with correspondence degrees as compared to regular ones?

Plz advise as am divided between choosing a career for myself and staying at home with my daughter. Am already 30 years old.
