correspondence courses for engineers - 07-10-2008, 11:15 PM

i m an computer engineering student studying in final year. I have got a job in a software company that makes products for banks and insurance providers. It is a medium size product based company. I took this job as i aim to get into financial firms. I have heard from many seniors that financial companies do not give core finance jobs to non-finance background guys. I will do an MBA after a job ex of around 2-3 years. I am thinking of doing some courses ( while i m working ) to add value to my CV. I wanted to know that if doing m.com by correspondence help me. Will it add to my CV. As i have doubts that would companies take correspondence courses seriously ?? can please anyone tell me that should i go for the m.com. Or should i consider some other course ( please tell me about other courses also) .
Thank you
