Hi,
This course is not equivalent to a full time MBA. It will definitely benefit you personally as well as professionally. However, you should do this course for your own learning than for your resume. It is a very demanding and a tough course. Due to this, is has a high value in comparison to other non-regular courses. If you do not have the option of doing a full time course, this would definitely be the next best options.
It will help you get better career opportunities- but not as much as doing a full time, but much higher than not doing either at all!
Hope that helps you,
Regards,
Bani.

Hey Vishal
This course is a virtual classroom course having classes twice every week and the course curriculum is very strong and intense. Basically its a demanding course as you have to manage studies, assignments, tests, along with work.
Rest you must visit this site i mentioned earlier XLRI Satellite Programes and also go through the previous posts of this thread. This will help you understand the course details.
Cheers

Hey Everyone
This is what an alumni of this course had to say...
"Hi ,
I am an alumnus of PGCHRM first batch and would like to clarify few things.
First the PGCHRM course is not a distance learning or correspondence course. It's a satelliate based interactive course having specific on campus sessions and unlike other courses the certification exams will be conducted in the campus itself.
Second:Your term end exams will be held as per the regular exam pattern for XLRI.
Third:You will be required to secure the minimum passing marks for all papers as per the academic guidelines of XLRI.To put it in plain words this is no backdoor entry to XLRI.You need to be as competent as only other XLer.If you fail to meet the regular passing criteria for the course as it the same for all courses in XL,you'll not be awarded the certificate.
Fourth:After completion of the course you become an alumni of the institute and no difference exists between the on campus and off campus programs.
Fifth: Let me tell you the pass out % for this course is less than the regular course and you'll need to do really well to get the certificate. The drop out % ranges from 20-30% for this course.
Choice is yours now...
Thanks,
A" (name not disclosed)
Hope this will clear some doubts.
Cheers
