guidance required wheteher to pursue mba - 01-03-2008, 01:41 PM

Hi all.Hope you people are doing well in your lives and careers.Regarding myself I want to open my own business and I want to pursue mba for it . I want to ask you if it is really worth your time on investing a year or two in mba or is it better to be street smart and learn by trial and error process. Also I dont want a job in any of the companies as I want to do my own stuff. Are the basics of business - sales and marketing, people management and psychology ,economics, financial forecasting really useful . I would really appreciate if you could provide a honest answer.

Hey Hi,
For your query to be answered you need to tell, what are doing right now, what are your interests and what kinda business you wanna enter.
An MBA would always give you an upper hand in terms of entrepreneurial skills.
