i found out the pattern of recruitment procedure by searching through previous threads

i want to get an idea of how to prepare for the case studies or case interviews and what kind of topics do they generally ask? and there is a tech interview too, how much c/c++ should i prepare/revise, i mean till what abstraction level?

hey buddy:-)

Wat is the profile that you are being interviewed for-is it IPR or BA.????

I know abt IPR,so here is the detailed procedure-

EACH ROUND IS ELIMINATORY

1st round-It is the same for every1,an Apti test...Its easy,n m sure if you are average at maths you will clear it.Now along with this you might get a passage which you have to
comprehend and then write something something---some logical steps---cant say as i dint get it.

2nd round-tech round-It will be about everything from your engg branch-Your summer trainings, your project, den study networking, also your strong subjects can be asked.

3rd round- Group interview-people who took tech + group manager-

GM might ask some tech questions, also same old shit-introduce yourself n stuff.Den he will give you a case study-dese r called GUESSTIMATES-as the name suggests you need to guess but logically. One such ex is HOW MANY PENCIL CELLS ARE USED IN THE WHOLE WORLD IN A SINGLE DAY?(i was asked this only)...u can search orkut..you will find a community.....den i was given some maths questions....i think if ur interview is for BA-u might be asked some more guesstimates and ur tech interview might be skipped....be through with each n every step of guesstimates-rem some figues like world population, india's poplulation....rest orkut wud be of help....

ATB!
regards!

Can any1 share their viewfor comparison to enter SAP( ABAP)..then to enter SAP (FINANCE)..and have a techno functional domain..
I wish to know til i create a satisfactory profile for myslef..i may also get more time to know myslef and also prep's..so I NEED ALL THOSE experince ppl FROM IT-BACKGROUND TO SHARE THEIR VIEWS OF MY APPROCH..

Note for the modertaors: to express:
I want ur views of Comparing a techno-Functional guy in SAP(FInance) to an MBA(finance) in terms of only "MONEY"...." when an aspirant is only 4 IIMs)
I clearly asked it becaz..it gives time to settle to best company and also to work hard to get into targetted B-Schools of choice..

hi all,

well IPR requires some knowledge about the technological aspects, along with skills of thinking about it in terms of business. so practise your case studies and revise tech fundas.

hope this helps you.
