You can get into airline sector in the field of HR, FIN, marketing ,SCM

All major airlines around the world have these requirements. However, they go to few elite B schools. So you have to work you way towards the IIMs.
Also, these days tourism management is picking up, which might help you to get into this sector.

I am also sailing in the same boat. Currently working with IBM and have IT experience of more than 2 years. Can any one please advice me is it good to move to Finance domain. At this pont of time I dont have much of Finance domain knowledge. But I am very frustrated with the monotonous work I am doing right now. I plan to give the GMAT by the year end. Please advice me what should I be looking for while selecting the Finance domain.

Thanks for your help in advance!!

mate as far as i knw.... there are two routes.... do an MBA in financial sector .... where u wud be considered as a fresher after ur MBA is over ..... or u can do a couple of short term certificate courses to get a basic knowledge of financial domain ..... then u can start over afresh in a financial consulting firm and learn on the job.

AM I RIGHT OR WHAT

i am in a similar position as "success 82"! have been with the IT industry for more than 2 years...I strongly feel its a travesty of one's intelligence to be working out here after having graduated as an engineer.
what I would like to know is other than finance is there any other domain where an IT experience will be given some weigtage..other than Systems, of course! Its really unfortunate to get stuck in this domain for the rest of our lives..!! had we known this am pretty sure most of us would not have opted for those placements on campus! looking forward to hearing form you, guys!

cheers
