Re: Distance Learning MBA IICT LUCKNOW - 02-08-2007, 01:46 AM

I am interested in joining the MBA program from IICT. Is it recognized. It appears from the site that the institute is autonomous and not affiliated to any university. If that is so then is the institute recognized and so will the MBA degree.

Pls let me know.

Thanks

Hi Everyone!

This is Sunil! A bangalorean currently working at Hyderabad at Satyam's Construction Division as Deputy Manager - Business Development, Oil & Gas Sector.

I am 24 years old with 3 1/2 years of experience in project management and business development till now.I am planning to pursue higher education (MBA) to boost my career academically and financially.

Guys! I am really confused with tons of courses available today of different universities, of different nature and of course of different "paybacks"!

Kindly suggest me whether to go for full-time course, part-time course, executive course (with campus component) or just distance course. And pls do suggest me the university too!

To assist you in giving me advice, I am drawing a salary of Rs. 6.5 lac p.a. and my salary would be revised by 20-40% by Mar '08. And am expecting promotion sometime in Dec 08.... as a Manager...

Now you know why I am confused!!!

Do send me your suggestions...
Have a great day!!!

Cheers
Sunil aka Sunny

Hi Vijay,

Would request you to answer following questions:-

1) Is it worth doing MBA from IICT, Lucknow?
2) What about the validity of the course? It's not approved by Council of Distance Education?
3) How has your experience with the same, being in the second semester?
4) Did IICT graduates really found placement in good institute?
5) Does the multinational you are working with recognises this course?
6) How broadly is MBA-HR from IICT accepted by various corporates?

Please guide. One of my cousin, wants to pursue it from IICT. She is working with a multinational as an HR exec, however, yet to pursue the course? She could not come online and hence wanted guidance from you.

Please advise.

Regards
SK

Hello Vijay,

I am a Dentist by profession(BDS) and am practicing since last 4 years, I have heard from a friend of mine that there is a good scope for medical personnel in MBA Hospital Management branch. As IICT is providing a 2 yr. degree course in Hospital Management so I just wanted to clear some doubts, if you will :-

1. I am intrested in Distance course of Hospital Management, so what would be the job prospects after completing this course, does the University provide some job placement opportunities?

2. Currently I am earning around 2 lac p.a., would I get some job opportunities better than my current income?

3. Not being from the field of commerce and without any work experience in this field, what are the chances of getting a good job with reputed companies?

Waiting for your reply, thanks in advance

Regards
