Additional courses & their utility - 04-05-2007, 01:55 PM

I am currently pursuing my MBA after abt 4 years of wrkg. I plan to take up finance in my 2nd year...In finance plan to take up IB & Banking.

What i wanted to kno is frm an HR perspective(for final placements)...do completing any of the additional courses & programs really add value? how do companies look at people doing such courses frm ppl who dont do them...if they r worth dng what are some of the good programs (NCFM/CFA/etc)...

In terms of career progression hw do these courses help?...I am askg this coz ppl tend to just do such prgs, but hw much value is being added or benefit gained is not so clear
