can anyone provide me details of XLRI PGP exec programs?.
I have three years experience as software engineer in the IT industry.
*Am I be eligible for such a program ? .
*Which other good institutes offer part time MBA?
I am totally confused abt doing mba.Pls guide me in the regard .

TAPMI-Blr also provides PT exec programs in Blr with weekend classrooms. BIM trichy has also similar programs in Blr. SPJ also have similar programs. IIMs have varying criteria for selection. Pls chk websites for clarifications.

All part time courses demand relevant managerial experience.will my exp as a software engineer be considered managerial exp.

Yes, most institutes consider SW experience. most instts have specific PT/exec courses for SW engineers. however some courses are restricted for 5 yrs or more of managerial experience.

I have allpied for the exec MBA prog in NMIMS ths year. Have a few questions in my head-

1. Will an eMBA hlp me get a carrer shift, since I am currently working in the pharmaceutical industry, would like to shift to a totally diff field

2. Wil be considered as valuable as FT and PT MBA degrees.

3. NMIMS does not offer specialization in the 2nd year of eMBA, is that good or bad?

Is there anyone here currently/ in the past has done this course from NMIMS or any other institute? help will be appreciated.

I am also facing this type of problem.I am working in the IT industry with 2.5 years exp in telecom domain.In our organization there are some opurtunity for the exe programs from IIMs.

I am looking for it . But i have some doubts in mind.. Is there market value of these courses?

General rule of thumb - the harder it is to get into a program, the more would be its market value. The mainstream programs within IIMs for instance, are the most selective. The top-20 MBA programs globally would also be highly selective compared to those in the 20-50 range.

So take a look at the PT programs and see how selective the application process is and also look at what alumni have done after completing these programs. Talk to a few of them to understand how easy or difficult it was for them to search for a better opportunity. What was it that helped them clinch the new job - their brand new degree or their past experience/contacts/pure luck.
