Wow!!
First time heard something like this..it' generally the reverse!

Make sure that u don't say later, "I am not having interest in software testing.I want to get into some other thing"

You need to have good logic reasoning and command over Testing Tools like Test Director to work in this field. Search for more threads and u'll get to know more.

Best wishes!

I am into software testing - a black box QE - getting a good package but i feel its like a BPO industry where ur engg degree is not used.. u just do some blind work that even a 12 th pass would do!!
I would really want to shift to development but the thing is I have already spent 1.5 years in testing domain- i remained with this company coz i wanted to clear cat and now that i have given it third time and not cleared it - I dont want to do testing - but with no exp in development , what scope do i have in there..

Plss somebody guide me.. my testing exp wont be useful if i shift to dev and I dont want to be in testing...

does that leave me with just one option - to prepare each year for cat till i clear it..

Hi,

I am in almost same situation as yours.
However I have given CAT only this year. Ill try it again and hope so will clear it.
However, if thats not the case I ll use the domain knowleged e to shift to some retail company as I am decent domain knowledge in Supply Chain.
U may use the domain knowledge you have to sfift industry.

I have interest in development anyways, I find that even more boring.
