My designation is currently engineer but offered a position as Project analyst in a software company. It says the designation comes under 'Corporate Operations'

so i want to know whether this will lead to Operations Manager...etc

It is one step ahead of operations role. You will be involved in nitty gritty of a particular project reducing cost and enhancing productivity. This position will lead to project manager which will more of client facing role. Project analyst will involve less client facing and more of hardcore internal operations of company.

All these paths leads to OM/COO. But a TL operations is much better and faster route to get to OM.

Program manager is what co.s like Wipro/TCS calls the role u may get in future (much before COO)--few yrs. its all abt leading a team in client site either physically or remotely. includes coordination between ur co. nd client. hiring etc for clients projs, costs and others. u will be top in escalation matrices for client support etc. may have P&L in future. challenging job and will involve more ppl mgmt than tech.
