can anyone tell me about the admission deadlines for admission to IMT Ghaziabad's distance learning programmes?....I heard its around the 12th of april, 2007 which is almost there....so if anyone knows about the dates, do let me know...and also the mode of admission - enttrance exam or simply deposit the fees?.....i checked out the website but info on dates etc. was not available

I dont know wether ur active on this thread( havent seen a post for some time ) but still going ahead with my question ... i was planning to do a diploma in finance either distance learning / part time ... do u know any good colleges/universities that provide a decent diploma in finance degree .. i have come across 2 .. NMIMS and SIBM .. both seem gud ....but am on lukout for more options ... Puys out there plz do help ... any sort of input will be greatly appreciated...thnx ..

I am Sumit (B Tech in Chemical) working in manual testing for 3 yrs (TCS + Infosys exp) . Its in banking domain . I want to do distance MBA . How is it from MIT Pune .Total fee is 20k and assgns etc are objective type . Will it give a boost to my career as I want to become Test Analayst then Test Manager ...I want to do it in Finance field

I want to pursue MCA in distance education mode from ICFAI university...

I hav hrd tht:
1) it gurantees job after completion.
2) it has many centres all over india.
3) course fees arnd 50K is ok wid me.

bt im bit concerned wid the fact tht:
1) it is nt AICTE approved.
2) is weekend clases compulsory in ICFAI???


im bit confused!!!! shd i go for it????!is there any better unversities offering nething bettr????? will MCA in distance mode will do any gd to me???

hello all,
I am in software industry working for a MNC with 3.5 years of industrial experience.
I am planning to take distance education.
After some home work I found out following options
1. IGNO
2. NMIMS
3. SYMBIOSIS
4. ICFAI.

Please can some one suggest me which is better than which and reason.
It would be of great help because I am really looking forward to pursuing PG.
All I want is a course by distance education which when completed (I will be 6 years of technical expert when completing the PG distance course) along with my technical expertise it should add value to help me in getting top position in organisation when i switch job.

Please reply me. Thanks in advance for the replies.

after a little research i came out with a few universities/colleges for distance/correspondence mba. giving them scores as i found them .


IGNOU- good course but crap university. lot of paperwork and delay in everything (5/10)

NMIMS- lack of info on their website and helpline phones arnt picked up :(. collage ranking and course structure is however good. (8/10)

Symbiosis(SCDL)- above average course material, online objective tests. lots of hidden changes(against fees). assistance is very good (8/10)

ICFAI- good course structure, centers arnt quite very professional.(many are single one room structures in many places across India). cost is high(comparatively). Its actually job assistance and not job garuntee. High cost. (7/10)

IMT Gaziabad- Average course structure. 3yr MBA. assistance at collage is average. (7/10)

MDU- bad ranking. poor market presence. assistance is average. (6/10)

i probably would be going for Symbiosis or NMIMS. scdl forms would be out by march, dont know about nmims. hoping they pick up the phone (or maybe i am dialing some wrong number)

ps: these are my personal views and might not reflect the actual status of the institutions .
