TCS vs WIPRO - 06-10-2005, 09:43 PM

Hi.

I would like a opinion from all of you regarding a problem my friend is facing. He got selected in both TCS & WIPRO. Can you please tell which one will be better?

P.S.: The guy is a B.E. in ECE.

I dont see any difference between them. Maybe he can toss a coin and decide!

Both the cmpanies are equally bad for freshers....therez not much of a difference....but TCS is better in the sense tat u can atleast expect sme really gud offshore opportunities if u r gud @ ur work(a very meagre %, but then atleast its possible). But then again here u r assumin that ur friend is given a decent project to start off with...which is very rare in case of freshers.....
But both cmpanies r terribly awful.....if ur friend is gud enough then he can as well apply for sme other MNC's......

Cheers,
Phulrie

P.S.: The branch hardly matters (apart fom CSE)...whether ur from ECE or Mech hardly makes any difference.....

i agree with u ...
but can u suggest some companies that is supposed to be good for freshers??
also in which sense u said they are not that good?
in terms of proj???
ooof...yaar....it is all luck !!!

u know one case of my friends..
both of them are placed in TCS.
one got good proj but he complains that the team s huge and he gets no onsite chance.
but the other got stuck in a junk buggy proj..just testing proj...but he mails me only frm california & st.louis....

so our humans are the unsatisfyiable beasts...
so we must try to live up with which ever we get first..
so as our mod 'MavericK' said toss the coin n go ahead..

coooooooolllllllll bossss.....

projects r all luck.....tats exactly what i meant.....in cmpnies like TCS, Satyam, Wipro, Infosys u hardly get any gud projects as freshers n its all dependent on luck......

N as far as cmpnies tat r gud for freshers.....huh... cme out this TCS, CTS mania n look around...n u'll see for urself........doin a project in testin is as gud as not doin a project....

N ur friends case....well i am not discussin here whether humans r unsatisfyin beings or not....n again the choice is urs- whether one must try to live with whatever he gets first..
or to make decisions by flippin a coin or smething else, the choice is urs....

Well all tat i said is "There is nothin much to choose between the 2 n that both of them r equally bad from the perspective of gainin any technical expertise...."....

Cheers,
Phulrie
