The first thing that you should do is read the article Confessions of a serial almost- 100 percentiler. The article will give you an idea on how to start your preparation. You will of course have to re-modify the schedule and study at least 5-6 hours instead of 3 hours. Your aim must now to be to cover relevant theory by the end of August. Comprehensive tests should start by early September or mid September. You can start taking section tests from mid - August after you are familiar with at least 50% of the theory.
Amazing article by Munira!

Have read confessions of a serial almost 100-percentiler.

PG rocks and these articles are very helpful.

However, there is a question which has been lingering on my mind since long. It may sound dumb as this is my first attempt at CAT. How much preparation is adequate for CAT?

There is nothing called sufficient in CAT... I think the more u practice, the more proficient u'll be.. But first of all.. Take account of all the fundas esp. in Maths.. QA is no rocket science in CAT.. U just need to hav fundamentals in place n after that the more u practice questions of diff. kind, the more u will aware of the kind of questions tht can come n in CAT u will then find tht some similar questions u have already done.. For Va.. The more u read the better it is for u... DI n LR go same as QA.. Practice shud help u greatly...

~Cheers
