Interesting taking on this.... but the underlying fact is that its your Stage-2 which matters the most... they would like to know more about you than how you fared in CAT or other entrance exams...
The other aspects like, people keep asking... "how much weightage is given for CAT in the selection process?".... God!! How does it matter... the shortlisted candidates are round about the same score. So, effectively you and others will be scoring a 19 or a 49 whether the CAT weightage is 20% or 50%. Its the other parameters that make a difference.
Another thing they try to trick you is ... solving a paper does not prove you to be fit for a manager. Of course it does not, but it sure does measure the potential of the candidate. If not, they would not take the hardship of conducting the routine exam every year. You can bare that fact directly and honesty does make an impact.
