Any of the IIMs and other tier 1 B Schools should be fine. But if you delay even one more year, you will be too old for TAS. (26 at the time of MBA completion is age limit). Aditya Birla Group is trying to develop similar program. But still hard to say if it will be as effectives as TAS. Other companies try but often don't know what to expect from the MBAs. Just because they are paying a lot (which they have to compete with Fin or even IT), they will get wonderful results. So have to watch out for that. Operations and SCM consulting would be the safest bet as per me. Once you have done a few years in consulting, you may be in a position to take charge in a general management role without much mentoring. Doing this right out of MBA might be more difficult.

HI I am Summit Patel,
I have completed my MMS in operations Management this year from Mumbai university. With Prior completion of M.Sc in Physical Chem.
I have work experience of over two years in Quality assurance
I needed help on, what are the other job profiles that are open for me.
I know that I can join supply chain & Logistics, I can go into Production planning and control, I can join QA.
But I needed help in getting information on what are the specific profiles that i can get into with MMS+M.Sc.
Thanks for Info

You already mentioned what you can get into. That s about it I guess. For your profile you work experience will be of more value than your degrees I guess. So your 2 years QA will be more important than he MMS + MSc

Hi,

Does the salary which we get before entering MBA would play a vital role with the salary being fixed by the companies during placement season post MBA? If so, could anyone plz let me know how to handle this?

Regards,
all4cat09!!

Sadly not much in top B Schools that admit lot of freshers like IIM. So not all people who were getting high pre-MBA salaries or having workexpereince are able to command a higher salary than their classmates without experience or less experience unless the pre-MBA workex is more than 80% relevant to the post MBA role. From your tone I believe your not currently getting good salary and scared. So from your point of view, hope it puts all your worries at rest

Raven the age limit has been revised to 28 at the time of joining for interns of this year .. Now since the profile criteria is usually in same irrespective of the way you get into TAS i would assume that he has some time ..
Regarding AVB then they have a very similar program but very different criteria for selecting candidates for the General Management profile .. check this out: Student Opportunities at Aditya Birla Group - India’s First Multinational Corporation

BTW it might have been different at the time of your graduation :-)
