pharma MBA in IT???

hi every one, i am new to this post....
i wish to enquire about that can a person pursuing MBA in pharmaceutical management as specialization ....enter in a software field... {software industry}. if yes then on which primary things he should lay more focus currently so that he can cope up with the requirements when he joins such organisation.....plz reply

why do you want to go into software after pharma management ?

if you are looking for a common area ... you will have to look around for biotechnology / bioinformatics related software companies , they provide customized softwares for genetic research ... stuff like that

I suggest take a hard look and introspect about your career goals. Many SW co.s do specialize in SW specific to pharma. for example SAP, Oracle etc have Pharma sector ERP and CRM's. for same you need to be a pharma domain specialist.

Having worked in IT industry and in the pharma vertical myself, I can suggest one more branch, that of a functional manager in the IT department of a pharma co. The growth path in this domain may also be good, culminating in positions such as CIO, CTO, etc.
