Hi debayanm,

I were you I wouldn't have put a recco letter in a public forum. Anyways, your professor might have asked you to write a recco but I would suggest that you give him points so that he can build a framework and not give the entire recco on your own. As admissions committee pple are experts in this and would easily find out if you had written the recco or it was written by your recommender only ..

further no weaknesses .. something very rare
Thanks,
Muthu ...

Hi Shwetha,

From my interactions with glakes students I think you would definitely fall into the range of GMAT scores which got accepted. Further its very difficult to predict anybody's chance based on only exp. & GMAT score as nowadays colleges have become more choosy and they look at a profile as a whole which includes wht u have done in at work, ur essays, reccos n everything else ...

Hi,

I have got
93.64 %tile in CAT
20 months of work ex (as of today) in a highly reputed software firm.
got numerous recognitions for my good work
have a decent extra curricular.
stood third in university in B.Tech (Comp science)
Xth - 69% (CBSE)
XII th - 70% (CBSE) .

Please suggest me shall I go ahead and apply this time or Take GMAT and come with a better score. Please also throw some light on the placement of the students having work ex of around 2 years in terms of role they are offered and the package they are getting.
Is GLIM shifting to its new campus this year only or will it happen next year?

since glakes has chinese language in their orientation lectures. I being specialised at that shouls help.

2) all the wrk ex i hav is freelance which does not qualify for any MBA work ex requirements. Will a mention of that in the essays help in getting a call?

GLakers, I have a query about the following instruction in recommendation letter:

"Place the completed form in the envelope provided by the candidate. Paste the flap
of the envelope, place your signature / stamp your official seal across the flap of the envelope."

A signature across the flap of the envelope from my recommender will suffice right?

Hi,
Ur profile looks good.
Go ahead & apply with ur cat score.
U may not be able to take GMAt b4 the deadline aneways.
The construction of the new campus is scheduled to be completed by this year end.
So u will have ur program starting in the present campus only.

To know abt placement details, visit Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai
some of the roles that ppl got last year are Business Analyst, Sr Business Analyst, BD manager etc... And roles differ with companies.

Pls post ur admission queries @ http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/cat-an...tml#post896353 (Great Lakes Admissions 200 (Great Lakes Admissions 2008)....

Cheers,
GLaker
