I think you are misunderstanding. Freshers can draw more than 5.5 lacs but it would depend on the individual and how he/she comes through at the time of interviews. For break up of Indian salaries and salaries abroad you may visit this link about more info on placements: SP Jain Dubai and Singapore - Admission Queries
I will answer your queries in the manner asked:
1) Avg sals are mentioned on the link given above
2) Avg Indian sals also mentioned onthe same link
3) percentage of freshers would be approx 8-9%
4) Admissions for JUNE 2007 have already commenced you may go ahead and apply. if you are shortlisted you will hear from us in 30-45 days
5) the stream you apply for depends on your area of interest. in certain instances we have also taken engineers into some of our Marketing or Finance specializations.
6) I cannot comment on your chances of being selected as that is a decision only the Admissions committee can take but your profile sounds fine you may apply.
All the best with your application!. Quote:

i have pretty good extracurriculurs as i am an avid quizzer....i currently expect to get to into B-school inside india which pays an average of around 6.5 lacs even to a fresher....i was interested in your school becoz i heard of the 1 year mba and the brand name of sp jain..but as i can infer from your previous posts...though the average salary is in the region of 8-9 lacs for most specializations....a fresher can expect a salary only in the region of 5-5.5 lacs max...and that too averaging out a few dollar salaries after conversion to indian rupees....Please advise as to whether i would be able to draw atleast 7 lacs at the end of the programme
the questions i want u to answer are...

2. Average salary of indian salary packages(not US dollar conversions of ppl placed outside india as dollar salaries converted may look high if settled inside india but actual costs abroad are more)
3. Percentage of freshers in current batch
4. When should i apply and when do the actual calls come out.
5.What sort of MBA will suit my profile...(er..not exactly too interested in IT)
6.What are my chances of getting selected(frank opinion plz..)

I also have a decent record in extra curriculars but being a fresher with no work-ex i wanted to know if there are any chances of being able to secure admission for the Global MBA program? | | | | | | | | |

Dear Aaryan,
pls note that you can apply only for one specialization. So you need to decide whether you wish to apply for IT or IB. If you wish to change from IB to IT then you need to send us an email at gmba@spjain.org mentioning the same and we will do the needful.

Since my profile is an IT based one and I have applied for Finance, Will I atleast have a chance to edit the Online form? Hope you understand my apprehension and let me know what can i do regarding this issue as soon as possible.

Dear Veena,
thank you for your msg.
You may update us with your XAT score when you receive it and we will review your application keeping the same in mind. Quote:

I have applied for the GMBA June 2007 intake through CAT and XAT and have also mentioned to take the aptitude test of SPJain. Unfortunately my CAT result turned out to be miserable. But confident to get a good score in XAT.
Will my bad CAT score be a disadvantage for getting shortlisted ?
Please let me know my chances of getting shortlisted.
thanks and regards,

Dear Niraj,
Thank you for your msg.
We have not yet fixed the dates of the aptitude test. the same would be updated on our website shortly say in week or 10 days.
we test your mathematical ability, verbal ability, logic and GK. it comprises of multiple choice questions with negative marking.
I really cannot comment on your chances of getting selected as this is a decision of the admissions committee. But i can assure you that your work ex with your father will definitely not be discounted and would certainly be appreciated as long as you have gained valuable skills from the same. Quote:

Hi,
The dates for the aptitude test have not yet been finalized. We would be updating our website about the sae in a week or 10 days. Kindly check the site for further details around that time. The placements for our first GLM batch have not yet started . We will post this data after the entire batch is placed on our website.
Our aptitude test is like any MBA entrance test. it is a generic test which tests your Mathematical and verbal abilities, logic, GK. Quote:
