Dear Abhijit,
Thanks for your message.
This is a very important question and of much interest to many students.
However at this point in time the Admissions Committee has not yet taken a decision about the Dec 06 scores being valid for June 07.
Please check our website or postthis query again in about 10 days time. Quote:

Thanks Rutty for the reply,
But i am still in doubt that Dec-2006 intake just got over and so early intake for June-2007 intake has started.
How?
again, i really got elated to know that shipping companies do come for the recruitments in Global logistics management and that should motivate me to apply for the same.
because thats what i was thinking of.
then could you please enlighten on the process of your admission on the rolling basis? what does it mean ?..does it say that you keep on getting applications throught the 6-month period , conduct the tests, give results and select the candidates. because i am little confused that how many seats are there for a particular course lets say Global logistics managemnt?...
i mean how many seats are there for a particular course?
Thanks and Regards,

Yes, GLM is a new specialisation that we have started only since 2007. However I would like to inform you that we introduce new specialisations only after extensive research keping in mind current market trends and industry demands. Thus we have started the GLM stream only because we see a need for talented managers with a domain knowledge in Logistics.
Your prior work experience in IT would be appreciated and would hold you in good stead while applying for positoins in Logistics. However the final outcome of your interview would depend on how you perform and come through at that point.
All companies have requirements for Logistics managers. So even though there will be companies like shipping or transport companies that would be coming in to interview candidates, various otehr companies would alos have positions for Logistics managers.
As for the GMAT requirement, we would look at a score of 650 upward.
Hope i have sorted your queries. | | | | | | | | |

hi,
my name is siddharth and i am from mumbai. i too am in the race for a seat in one the good bschools. spjain in mumbai ,as we all know, is one of the best. therefore when a friend told me about spjain dubai singapore, i had to check it out! i saw your website and went through the placements section where you have mentioned the kind of placements you have had in the past. but i was still a little apprehensive. why does spjain need to open a branch all the way in dubai when they could have just opened one in india if they wanted more students? india too has a booming economy now! in fact what fueled my doubts was that one of the current students of spjain dubai had posted in one of the forums of pagalguy that spjain is fabricating its placements figures and just luring in students and that people do not even get a 5 lakh job in india after an mba from spjain dubai!!! the thing is we all know how good spjain mumbai is. but if i could just KNOW that spjain dubai too will b a good experience then i could apply without any apprehensions of any kind. so are there some of kind credentials i could see online on the website or talk to somebody in mumbai about this?
thank you!

Hello Mam,
I have applied for SP Jain's Global MBA but my profile is very different . I have a degree in homeopathy ( BHMS) where my aggregate is 66% . My X and XII acads are good too - 86% and 82% respectively. I even have 1 year of experience as a House physician. I want to know about my admission chances at SP jain and moreover the specialization I should choose as I am a bit confused between Information Management and marketing !!
I want to get some information about the specialisation - product management. It seems its a new specialization which is being started at SP Jain as I could not find any placement records regarding the same. I have been invited for the aptitude test for the Jan batch ( foreign student) and i really need some suggestions from you !
thanks

hello,
We look only for very highly qualified students who meet our high entry standards, we start our admissions process 6 months in advance , as we need time to select the right candidates.
"Rolling basis" means that the admissions are on a continuous basis wherein we do NOT wait till the last date for applications to collect applications and then assess them. We review applications as and when we receive them and students are shortlisted accordingly.
There are about 30-50 seatrs per stream.
thank you Quote:

Dear Siddharth,
Thank you for your message.
As the world is turning into a global village there is a need for "global managers", managers who are aware of the trends and practices not just in their home country but all over the world. Keeping this in mind SP Jain decided to go overseas and start its international campuses to create a pool of multi talented professionals with global vision.
Thus we seek to provide every student of ours international exposure and it is for this reason we have started our campuses in two of the most dynamic cities of the world - Dubai and SIngapore.
As you must have seen on our website there are testimonials of alumni who have shared their experiences at SP Jain and have also been well placed. You will also find appreciatve words form our recruiters on the website.
We are a world class instituition and DO NOT need to resort to any such tactics such as fabricating salaries of students. The figures mentioend on the website are genuine and authentic and our students have acutally got these salaries and we only hope to keep bettering them year after year
You may call on the numbers given on our website and speak to our counsellor for further confirmation. Quote:

Dear Prashao,
We have had students who are from medical and allied medical fields who have applied for our course , gotten shorlisted and even been offered a place at our instituition. These studenet face no problem in coping with our programme.
Coming from a medical background we suggest that a specialisation in marketing would be more suited to you.
Yes this is a new field that we have started. However I should inform you that we are always updating ourselves and bringing in new streams and doing away with outdated ones. This is done only after we carry out extensive market research and keeping in mind current market trends. Only when we are convinced that there is a demand for managers with skills in a particular domain do we introduce a new specialisation. So I do not think there is a need to worry about placements in Product Marketing and Management.
Hope I have sortedyour queries.
Thank you Quote:

Thank you | Thanks for the reply Rutty. I still want to know why/how the Marketing field will suit someone like me ( from medical background ) ?
Can I get some information regarding which companies have you targetted while starting this new specialization ?
